I appreciate that the list is not necessarily comprehensive for all, as diet is an extremely personal subject. I suppose it's not that a diet including the foods you named can't be healthy, but nonetheless, if a healthy diet can be achieved without them, then it was my line of thinking that they had no place being on the list. I have researched extensively about the Mediterranean diet, and it's one of the healthiest, you are correct.

I also reject the notion of needing to advertize my post as explicitely "vegan." I don't suppose posts that center around meat or omnivorous diets are expected to sign-post in the same way, do you?
