I’d have loved to hear your thoughts on a fully plant-based (and therefore cholesterol free) diet and the subsequent positive effects within the body. Truth is, our body makes all the cholesterol we ever need and will ever use by itself — no additional consumption of the stuff needed. Unfortunately, as you said at the beginning of the article, it’s far more convenient for a doctor to prescribe statins than recommend someone’s gives up meat, dairy, and eggs. It’s a damn shame because most of the top causes of death these days are exclusively related to lifestyle and diet, i.e. they’re preventable in the first place, and potentially even reversible in the worst case.
